Gain Health Benefits When You Make Yogurt At Home
Regularly, people purchase yogurt at their local food markets without thinking twice about doing so. But, pause for a moment to consider what goes into manufactured yogurt. Unless the yogurt is organic, chances are that included are things including corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, aspartame, or sucralose.
Alas, it is not uncommon for the ingredients in manufactured yogurt are unhealthy, maybe even detrimental. I.e., corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup are admitted to be bad for the human body to ingest. Research holds the possibility that corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup may contribute to type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, andcoronary artery disease.
As for aspartame and sucralose, they are artificial sweeteners. Many people believe that, by replacing real sugar with artificial sweeteners, they are making a healthy choice. Although artificial sweeteners may or may not be harmful by themselves, removing real sugar from foods does not make the foods healthier. But, use of artificial sweeteners is believed to be linked to an increase in obesity because it gives individuals a false sense of wellness.
Fake sugar also has a chemical flavor. Some individuals are more alert to this, and don't care for the chemically flavor that yogurts with these sweeteners frequently have. But, these same people may also don't want the profound sweetness of manufactured yogurts made with real sugar.
People should also be concerned about the fruits used in yogurt. †Unless yogurt is organic, there is a real threat regarding pesticides with the fruits used.
Fortunately, deciding to make yogurt yourself means you have control over what ingredients go into your body. Making yogurt yourself means you can choose whatever ingredients you desire, including the best available. You can add fruits grown by you, that are organic, or that you have washed with your own trusted method.
As for sweetening your yogurt, you can make it as sweet or tart as you like. Even better, you are able to sweeten it with the sweetener that you desire. Do you prefer the taste of real sugar? Then use it! Do you prefer the taste of honey? Then, use that! It is your decision how sweet you you want your yogurt to be and what you add to attain its sweetness.
When you choose what goes into your yogurt, then you control your health. You can be confident that only healthy ingredients are in your yogurt. This doesn't even include the fact that your own yogurt has a much better flavor over anything you can get in a store!
