recipe for plain yogurt
what can be used instead of plain fat-free greek yogurt?
i am trying to try out a recipe that calls for plain fat free greek yogurt but the markets around where i live dont carry greek yogurt, what else can be used instead?
Hi: You can use regular plain yogurt that you have strained. Hang yogurt in a cheesecloth over your sink, or place it in a paper towel lined colander and let the excess moisture out..takes a couple hours.
You can also check to see if your markets carry ''Fage'' brand yogurt with fruit. It's usually in the whole-foods section, the yogurt is greek-style, and the fruit is not blended in with it - so you can use the yogurt on it's own.
